Our
Doctors
Andrew
Nardecchia, DDS
It’s
no coincidence that Mt. Sopris
is
perfectly framed by the windows at Carbondale Family Dental. Dr. Nardecchia’s
love of the mountains is what first brought him to Colorado in 1996,
brought
him back to this beautiful valley with his family in 2011, and was a
deciding
factor in settling in at Carbondale Family Dental.
After
graduating from University of Colorado Dental School in 2004, Dr.
Nardecchia completed his training in a general practice
residency
program at
Denver Health Medical Center. He then spent time working at a
children's dental clinic in Denver and in Portland,
Oregon at Gentech
Dentist, a cutting-edge urban
dental practice.
Dr.
Nardecchia returned to Colorado from Oregon in 2011 with his wife,
Katy, a native of the Roaring Fork Valley, and their two young
children, Nick
and Ella. He joined
Carbondale Family
Dental and worked alongside Dr. Brad Nicholson, who founded the
practice in
1978, until Dr. Nicholson’s retirement in 2013.
Dr.
Nardecchia has a passion for sustainability, whether that applies
to the environment, his lifestyle, or his dental practice. He enjoys
the
variety and challenge that each patient brings to the practice – each
with
their unique needs and circumstances. He
believes in building lasting relationships with every patient. Living in a small
community like Carbondale,
Dr. Nardecchia enjoys seeing his patients on the ski slopes, out to
dinner, or
when he’s dropping his kids off at school.
When
he’s not in the office, Dr. Nardecchia can be found skiing,
biking, or climbing in the surrounding mountains or cruising around
town with
his family.
Rebekah
Reed, DMD
A
sixth generation Colorado native, Dr. Reed began her dental career as a
dental assistant in high school. After graduating she moved to Glenwood
Springs to attend Colorado Mountain College (Spring Valley), where she
met her husband, Robin. During that time, she continued to work as a
dental assistant and quickly fell in love with the Roaring Fork Valley
community and the mountains around it.
In
2019 she completed her Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the University
of New England College of Dental Medicine
in
Portland, Maine. During this time in Maine, Dr. Reed had extensive
exposure to public health and interprofessional collaboration. These
skills enable her to better
educate
her patients about the importance of oral care as a key component to
overall health. She values the importance of creating open
communication with other medical providers
in order to offer the best healthcare for her patients.
Prior to permanently settling back in Colorado, Dr. Reed completed a
Postdoctoral General Practice Residency at the VA hospital in Seattle,
WA. This opportunity allowed her to receive comprehensive training in
hospital-based dentistry which complements her approach to patient
centered care.
Dr. Reed places a high emphasis on dental excellence and ongoing dental
education. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the
Colorado Dental Association and The Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Reed returned to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2020 with her husband
and daughter, Isla. In 2022, they welcomed their son Liam into the family. She is excited to be a part of the team at
Carbondale Family Dental. Aside from dentistry, she enjoys spending
time with her family and friends in the outdoors. She personally enjoys
snowboarding, rock climbing, rafting, and backpacking.
